FLCC Minutes July 20, 2009
The July meeting of the Frisco Lakes Camera Club started at 6:45pm with refreshments and time to socialize.
At 7:00pm the meeting was called to order by Interim President Dick Abernethy.
Twenty-two neighbors were in attendance.
Dick Abernethy announced his resignation as Interim President due to increased workload and other commitments.
He also announced Hildy Katzung’s resignation as Club secretary.
Action to fill the vacant positions was tabled until the August meeting.

Russ Stoltzfus presented the current Financial and Membership report and gave an update on the Neighborhood Picture Project. Last month 17 neighbors had their pictures added to the F.L. Directory.
Steve Lamont volunteered to handle the next picture taking session.
Ed Spaulding gave a presentation on possible field trip destinations around Texas. He requested input on places of interest, length of trips, mode of transport, etc.
Frank Frazer introduced a new monthly program called "Quick Tips". In this segment he will present information of interest to the club members and provide helpful websites. This information will then be posted on the Camera Club website.
Several members brought their entries for the July Challenge "People Pictures".
After reviewing them, Frank Frazer announced the August Picture Challenge "Backlit Subjects".
Start shooting and bring your favorites to the next FLCC meeting, August 17, 6:45pm.
The meeting concluded at 8:45pm.
